UNDEFEATED TIGER SEASON BY Kyle Rogers

The Union-Endicott Tigers 8th grade modified football team went undefeated on Wednesday October, 24th, 2007. The Tigers beat teams like the Vestal Bears twice, Binghamton East and West, Maine Endwell Spartans, S.V., and J.C. The Tigers ended their season with a 7-0 record. The Tigers went out there every game and played their hearts out. This great season could have not been possible without the coaching from Mr. Bennett and Mr. Truillo. It also could have not been possible without the help from the parents. We practiced for a month and a half and it paid off. Touchdowns were scored by D.L (9), Nico (9), Roma (4), Bedoe (3), and Nick Delnero (2). Great job to those guys who scored. I added up all the points for the total 7 games and are opponents scored 80 points all together. The UE Tigers scored a amazing 185 points.

In the Tigers first game they beat the Vestal Bears 14-0. The second game they beat Binghamton East 46-14. In the third game they beat Johnson City 32-21. The Tigers went on there first road game of the season at Binghamton West. The Tigers went away with a win 14-7. The Tigers then went to battle a hard hitting Maine Endwell Spartans. The tigers won 26-12. The Tigers went to go play Vestal Bears in the rain. The Tigers won 20-13. This was it, the last game of the season and their opponents were the S.V. Sabers. The Tigers entered this game 6-0 and had there minds set for 7-0 record. The Tigers walked away 7-0 UNDEFEATED CHAMPIONS. The Tigers last year went 4-2 for 7th grade. The Tigers quarterbacks Anthony Roma, Dan Thorner, and Tyler Nyschot did s great job this season. The offensive line did a great job. The running backs did a great job. The Tigers defense was strong this season. The defense didn't let many touchdowns by. The defensive backs did a good job with coverage. Every team the Tigers played this season were good. The Tigers lost two good players this season due to injury. They were Brandon Rifler and Tyler Blodgett. Going undefeated is like winning the super bowl. Winning is something you strive and dream of each day and night. The Tigers will always remember going undefeated in 8th grade with great coaches. The Tigers know that every team doesn't care if they lose all there other games as long as they beat the tigers. The Tigers are at the top of the food chain and every one is hungry for some Tiger meat. The Tigers are very happy about this season. Best of luck to the Union-Endicott Tigers next year on the J.V. Team.

CONGRATULATIONS TIGERS -- YOU'VE DONE US PROUD!
